The next steps


The next step was to start working on simple level transitions and tightening the loose ends of the player's mechanics. I began to refine the interactions the player had with the environment. This also lead to the requirement of some art. After trying to add some high res, gradienty and high texture art (shown below), We ended up using a pixel art style to create the basic placeholder art.

The following week will be invested in continuing to iron out the player's interactions, adding some more experiential texture to the game and have a basic prototype for the player's end of things. The enemy will step in only later...

@jareddragus has been working on developing the storyboard for the narrative and some sample artwork (like the ones shown above). These will be his points of focus for the coming week.
